Someone was playing quality control officer with her dad when he was mowing the lawn last night. So cute! I've been getting crazy on Ebay and picking up vintage film lenses to use on my big DSLR camera bodies. They're 100% manual setting and focus, but they create some pretty cool effects. This one is a Russian made Helios 44-2 58mm f/2. It creates that wild swirly Boken in the background. I'm getting quicker at catching my fast moving kids with the manual focus, but I'm not quite ready to take it to a family session unless the kids are at least over 8 years old, lol! A fun

I had the pleasure of trying out some new, beautiful places around historic Yorktown this week! This gorgeous family was so fun and their coordinated outfits were on point! I'm totally planning to snag their color scheme for our own photos this year :-) Six months ago, I took sweet Lucy's newborn photos in the hospital and now she's sitting up and playing and laughing!
