I've been getting crazy on Ebay and picking up vintage film lenses to use on my big DSLR camera bodies. They're 100% manual setting and focus, but they create some pretty cool effects. This one is a Russian made Helios 44-2 58mm f/2. It creates that wild swirly Boken in the background. I'm getting quicker at catching my fast moving kids with the manual focus, but I'm not quite ready to take it to a family session unless the kids are at least over 8 years old, lol!
A fun way to push creativity and make some unique images! In a world where everything is digitized, it's fun to see the texture of vintage glass on a image.
